Lockdown Isn’t All Bad

Reasons I’m grateful to the killer virus

Life in the days of Coronavirus is tough. In the UK we’re are short on ventilators, protective equipment, and tests. People are struggling with businesses being closed and the government is struggling to make sure that people have money coming in. Many people are falling through the gaps, not quite meeting the eligibility criteria.

Most countries have social distancing that involves some form of lockdown. That means that we can’t do the things we used to. We can’t go to the cinema, visit our families, go swimming or to the gym. Birthdays are a bit lonely. Pubs are closed up and empty.
People are either bored stiff or worked off their feet, or a combination of the two.

But you don’t need me to tell you how bleak things are. You already know that — the media tells us all the time.
