I am two and a bit curious into my first novel and have decided to write a charity short story, so I’m learning both art forms concurrently. This seems to be working and highlighted how different they are. My short story is like a crevasse. It starts in one place, something awful happens, something amazing happens and it ends happily. Or at least…that’s the plan!
My novel is WAY more complex with a lot more guessing and twists and turns. Oddly though, in enjoying writing both.
I’m just far too busy!
